Lady Jan Faulkner

In the prime of her life Lady Jan Faulkner focused on fine arts while achieving her degree in Interior Design in 2004. Mixed Media Collage became a passion as she began showing her work at the Ventura and Fillmore Artwalks and became a member of the Buenaventura Art Association in 2004.

Jan's travels to Western and Eastern Europe on singing tours in the late 1990's uncovered her talent for composition through the camera lens which she digitally enhances through Photoshop. Her first solo show of photography, "Both Sides of the Pond," was at the Buenaventura Gallery in Ventura, August 2008. Coincidentally at the same time, she was the Featured Artist for Ventura's Summer Artwalk with her Mixed Media Work, Tablescape. Photography, mixed media collage, acrylic and watercolor are her mediums of choice.

Jan has shone her work and/or received awards at High Studio in Moorpark, Ojai Center for the Arts, Palomar College in Escondido, Ventura County Fair Professional Art Show, Santa Paula Society of the Arts Annual Competition, Community Memorial Hospital Public Art Exhibits, the Buenaventura Gallery Open Competitions and Harbor Village Galleries, and various retail establishments around the Ventura County. P.S. Lady is Jan's given name, she wishes she were a Lady, but unfortunately American Citizens are prohibited from holding titles.
